I first met Pascal when I was the producer and guitar player for Michael Head and The Red Elastic Band. Pascal did the artwork for the releases I was involved in on Violette Records, “Artorius Revisited”and “Adios Senor Pussycat”. Pascal’s work is fresh but somehow familiar, memorable and instantly recognisable.
When I was preparing to release my band The Wood’s first album “Days” last year there was only one person I wanted to do the graphic design for the cover – Pascal. He’s so easy to work with, whether you have ideas of your own to have him develop and put his mark on, or give him free rein to come up with something inspirational and unexpected. The end result is always just the right thing. When people talk to me about the records I’ve made with Mick and The Wood, the comments often include “great cover”, a clear testament to Pascal’s talent.
I really can’t recommend Pascal more highly, and look forward to working with him again on the next album from The Wood later this year. The vinyl edition of the album is now a complete package, thanks to the expertise, sensitivity and consummate good taste of Pascal Blua.
